The Shenhuo Seiko SH-T301 is a state-of-the-art benchtop system designed specifically for the challenging task of removing Polyimide (PI) coatings from specialty optical fibers. Polyimide coatings are renowned for their thermal stability and chemical resistance, making them notoriously difficult to strip using conventional mechanical or chemical methods, which often result in glass damage or hazardous chemical exposure.

The SH-T301 utilizes precision-controlled electric arc discharge technology to create a high-temperature plasma field. This non-contact thermal process cleanly vaporizes (ablates) the stubborn PI coating in seconds, leaving the bare glass fiber perfectly clean and pristine. Crucially, because no physical blade ever touches the fiber, the pristine surface of the glass cladding is preserved, ensuring maximum tensile strength and reliability for critical applications in medical, aerospace, and sensing industries.
